Yee was born in Los Angeles, CA with a vision to make it possible meet new people and make new friends - instantly.
At Yee, we’re fueled by the vision of utilizing mobile technology for the wellbeing of all and believe in a world where meeting new people via video calls is the norm. Whether it's saying hey in instant video calls, seeing what's up in instant text chats, or swiping through profiles, Yee lets you instantly connect with someone new.
At Yee, we harness the synergistic combination of human intelligence and state-of-the-art AI video call technology to bring the world closer together. By introducing this new wave of social media, we’re creating a space where individuals can thrive socially, be more connected than ever before, and feel happier as a result.
Community Guidelines
We’re committed to creating an online space where individuals can genuinely connect with new people and make new friends. We created these guidelines to make sure every user has a safe and positive experience on the app. Any violation of these guidelines may result in a permanent account ban from Yee.
Be Respectful
We have a zero-tolerance policy for offensive content and abusive behavior. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate content are strictly prohibited on Yee. We take this policy very seriously and have specific moderation procedures in place for reported users and content. Users are encouraged to help keep Yee safe by reporting or blocking users who go against this policy. Reported content will be removed immediately until it is reviewed. Conversations with blocked users will be removed along with any type of profile engagement. If you see someone breaking the rules anywhere on Yee, report them using the Block/Report button, and we’ll take it from there. See the How-To section below for step-by-step instructions for reporting and blocking on Yee.
18 and Over
Individuals under the age of 18 are not allowed on the app. Minors who attempt to sign up on our platform will be blocked. Help keep Yee safe by reporting users who you suspect are minors and tapping “underage” as the reason for reporting. All accounts found violating this guideline will be terminated.
Sexually Explicit Content
Yee has a zero-tolerance policy for users promoting and/or distributing pornographic content. Saving, asking and/or threatening to post explicit content is strictly prohibited. We would also like to emphasize the uncompromising enforcement that we place regarding content involving minors. Any and all indications of child sexual exploitation are promptly reported and turned over to the authorities.
Spam
Spam, bot activity, and deceptive practices are not allowed on Yee. To enforce this policy, we do not allow images or links of any kind to be Sent in Direct Messages. Spam and bot-like messages are also flagged to our system and are blocked before they are received by the end-user. Help keep Yee safe by reporting users and content that you suspect are spam by tapping report and selecting “spam” as the reason for reporting. All accounts found violating this guideline will be terminated.
Impersonation
Any attempt to impersonate others is strictly prohibited. This includes any type of deception about who you are, whether it’s lying about your age, your name, using someone else's photos, and any other type of deception. Help keep Yee safe by reporting users who you suspect are pretending to be someone they’re not by tapping report and selecting “spam” or “underage” as the reason for reporting. All accounts found violating this guideline will be terminated.
Get Verified
Yee is a global community where trust is extremely important. We prioritize several different features that allow us to create a space where genuine and honest connections can be made. To enforce a trust-valued community, we created an industry-first 3-step identity verification feature. This multi-step authentication process allows users to select three of the following four verification options:
- Selfie
- Yoti
- Text Message
Verified accounts get a verified badge on their profile and card. The verified badge is also shown with their profile picture and name in direct messages. Verified accounts have a better user experience on Yee. On average, verified accounts get 3x more likes than non-verified accounts. Users are also gifted three free Super Likes if they verify their account. Users are encouraged to only engage with users that have a verified account. Help keep Yee safe by reporting users who you suspect are pretending to be someone they’re not by tapping report and selecting “spam” as the reason for reporting. All accounts found violating this guideline will be terminated.
Don’t Do Anything Illegal
Illegal activity will not be tolerated on Yee, as safety is our number one priority. Illegal activity may result in being permanently banned from the app, and/or being reported to the authorities.
Crisis Text Line Partner
Yee is a space for you to be your true self. We encourage all kinds of self-expression and encourage users to have honest and authentic conversations. If you or someone you meet on Yee is experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or just needs someone to talk to, text HELLO to 741741 to chat with a live, trained crisis counselor for free 24/7. We have partnered with the Crisis Text Line to provide all Yee users the ability to talk with a trained professional for free.

HOW TO REPORT / BLOCK SOMEONE FROM THEIR PROFILE
You can report / block any account that distributes or promotes inappropriate content, abuse, or spam, or anything else that does not follow our Community Guidelines directly from their profile page. All reports are secure and your information is never shared with the person you are reporting. To report / block someone from their profile page:

- Tap the reason why you are reporting this user

HOW TO REPORT / BLOCK SOMEONE FROM DM
You can report any account that contacts you with inappropriate content, abuse, spam, or any other materials that violate the Community Guidelines directly from your DMs with that user. All reports are confidential and your information is never shared with users you chose to report.

We would again like to reiterate how important it is for users to report any accounts that violate any of the above guidelines. Every report helps keep the Yee community safe.
HOW TO APPEAL BAN
If your account was banned for not following Yee's Community Guidelines and you believe this was a mistake, you may be able to appeal the decision. To do this:
- Go to your profile and tap ⚙️SETTINGS on the upper right.
- Tap 🙋♀️Ban Appeal.
- Explain why you believe you've been banned by mistake and tap Submit.
Once we receive this, we will review your account.
